CSR Elite animation

A very nice video to enjoy unboxing in a very different way.

Björn made this video in the stop motion technique. This reminds me on czech made Pan Tau cartoons Smile

CSR Elite sold out (temporarily)

The huge demand for this wheel does not stop so we are still importing wheels with UPS to keep us with the demand.

But in China, all factories are closed now due to Chinese New Year holidays so that the shipments come to an end for a little while.

So the next shipments of this wheel arrive in late February. Several people asked me when we expect to get more units in by sea freight and lower the price. It seems that this won't happen before summer as the upcoming production of the CSW will use up the extra production capacity we are building up now.

CSR Elite on CES

The CSR Elite had a great appearance on CES at the booth of Nvidia. They were mounted on the VRX full motion simulators and of course Nvidia added the best PCs so that they were running iRacing with triple and 3D monitors.

And this is a guy from AMD checking out the system:

Wheel Rim Ergonomy Comparison

We made an interesting comparison between different popular wheel rims on the market to compare the following parameters:

  • Number of mappable buttons on the wheel rim
  • Amount of buttons within easy reach of the thumb
  • Diameter of the rim

In order to be as scientific as possible we took to show the grasp reach of the thumb of an average adult male.

We then took this area and mapped it on the different rims to show how many buttons you can actually reach without moving your hand from the driving position.

Thank you for a fantastic year 2011

It is time to thank all of you for a fantastic year 2011.

THANK YOU

It was the best year in the history of Endor in many respects.

Our product palette is stronger and better than ever. We have successfully launched the new CSR product line and we even kept ourpromised deadlines (surprise!).

The quality of the products has improved significantly and we also got a lot of good feedback about improvements on our service.

The year ends with a new Firmware for the CSR Elite (721 B)

There is one things left to be done this year and we made it in the last hours of 2011 to come up with a new firmware for the CSR Elite.

We have no more known issues but it is not fully tested yet so the release is classified as "BETA" version. We also have a new firmware updater which is more easy to use and  more compatible to all relevant Windows versions. But please make sure you read the instuctions which are included.

Please let me know how this version works for you.

CSR Elite belt system

As some CSR E customers are a little bit confused about the new belt system, I would like to clearify a few things.

The new belt system is independent from the steering sensor so that the belts have no influence on the performance of the wheel on track.

ISR review of the CSR Elite

There are a lot of rumors going on and i would like to give you some first hand information so you can make up your mind.

There is also a thread on the ISR forum and I would like to reply to that.

1. It is true that we did not send a review unit yet. At the same time it is also true that no other press account have received a review unit so far.

Firmware 715 for CSR Elite UPDATE 2

The first CSR Elite wheels have arrived at the customers and in order to give them a perfect experience from day 1 we are releasing 715 right away.

The new updater is not 100% ready yet but works much better than the old one and runs stable on Vista and Windows 7.

Please read the manual inside the .zip file and follow it carefully. This is really important to assure a smooth installation.

715 will bring several  improvements and bugfixes.

CSR E benchmarked

We have received several great reviews but I would like to highlight the benchmark made by sonac because this has never been done before.

He posted his brilliant summary in  his blog at the Fanatec fansite:
